the top material. Also, increased water pressu re may
force water past the weath er strip s.
Never use an abrasive typ e clean er or bleach es.
Clean ers should not contain silicon es, organ ic sol-
ven ts, petroleu m distillates or plasticizers. alw ays
wait until the top is thorou ghly dry before low erin g
it into the storage area.
General Cleaning
Carefu l vacu uming of the top before washing is help ful
in rem oving dust and other foreign particles. Wash in
partial shad e instead of direct sun. Wet the entire vehicle
before washing the top . The top shou ld be washed with
a soft, natu ral bristle scru b bru sh, and Mop ar Car Wash
or a mild soap solu tion. Do not use detergent.
Scrub in all directions, covering an area of abou t two
square feet at a time. Avoid heavy scrubbing. Rinse the
entire vehicle with water to remove all soap and dirt from
the top fabric and to prevent streaking on painted and
chrom e surfaces. Allow the top to dry before lowering. 7
Vacuuming the top with a wet/ dry shop vacuum will
decrease the top’s drying time, ensu re removal of all dirt,
and delete streaks in the material. Multiple cleanings may
be necessary to remove stubborn stains. If stains persist,
contact your local dealership for further suggestions.
