THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE

Here are som e simple step s you can take to minim ize the
risk of harm from a deploying airbag.
You shou ld read the instru ctions provid ed with you r
child restraint to make sure that you are using it prop erly.

back as far as practical to allow the front airbags room to
inflate.

If you r vehicle has supplemental side and or thorax
Child ren that are not big enou gh to prop erly wear the
vehicle seat belt (see Section on Child Restraints) shou ld
be secured in the rear seat in child restraints or belt-
positioning booster seats. Old er child ren who do not use
child restraints or belt-p ositioning booster seats shou ld
airbags, do not lean against the door, airbags will inflate
forcefu lly into the space betw een you and the door.
