beendriven,repeatthesesteps,whiletheengine
isstillrunning, toextendtheenginerunningtime
by10minutes.Remotestartcanbeextended
onetime.
Theadditional tenminutesareconsidered asecond
remotevehiclestart.
Afteryourvehicles enginehasbeenstarted twotimes
usingtheremotevehiclestartbutton, orasingleremote
startwithonetimeextension, thevehiclemustbe
startedwiththekey.
Afterentering thevehicleduringaremotestart,insert
andturnthekeytoON/RUNtodrivethevehicle.
Afterthekeyisremovedfromtheignition, thevehicle
canberemotestartedagain.
Tomanually shutoffaremotestart,doanyofthe
following:
Thevehiclecannotberemotestartedifthekeyisin
theignition, thehoodisnotclosed,orifthereisan
emissioncontrolsystemmalfunction andthecheck
enginelightcomeson.

theremotestartbuttonuntiltheparkinglamps
turnoff.

Turntheignition switchonandthenoff.
Also,theenginewillturnoffduringaremotevehicle
startifthecoolanttemperature getstoohighoriftheoil
pressure getslow.
Thevehiclecanberemotestartedtwoseparate times
betweendrivingsequences. Theenginewillrunfor
Vehiclesthathavetheremotevehiclestartfeatureare
shippedfromthefactorywiththeremotevehiclestart
systemenabled. Thesystemmaybeenabledor
disabled throughtheDIC.See“REMOTESTART”
underDICVehicleCustomization on page 4‑56 for
additional information.
