TheDICdisplaywillshowthemessageMANUAL
SHIFTonthefirstlineandthecurrentgearwillbe
displayed onthesecondline.SeeDriverInformation

numberdisplayed intheDICisthehighestgearthat
canbeused.However,thevehiclecanautomatically
shifttolowergearsasitadjuststodrivingconditions.
Thismeansthatallgearsbelowthatnumberare
available. When5(Fifth)isselected, 1(First)through
5
(Fifth)gearsareautomatically shiftedbythevehicle,
but6(Sixth)cannotbeuseduntiltheplus/minus button
locatedonthesteering columnleverisusedtochange
tothegear.
GradeBrakingisnotavailable whentheDriverShift
Controlisactive.SeeTow/HaulMode on page 3‑39 for
moreinformation.
ThevehiclehasDriverShiftControl(DSC).DSC
controls thevehicle's transmission andvehiclespeed
whiledrivingdownhillortowingatrailerbyallowing you
toselectadesiredrangeofgears.
WhileusingtheDSC,cruisecontrolandthetow/haul
modecanbeused.
