checkprocedure isthemostaccurate methodtocheck
thefluidlevel.Performthehotcheckprocedure atthe
firstopportunity.Usethiscoldcheckprocedure tocheck
fluidlevelwhenthetransmission temperature is
between80°Fand90°F(27°Cand32°C).
KeeptheenginerunningandpresstheTrip/Fuel
buttonortripodometer resetstemuntilTRANS
TEMP(Transmission Temperature)displays onthe
DriverInformation Center(DIC).

UsingtheTRANSTEMPreading, determine and
performtheappropriate checkprocedure. Ifthe
TRANSTEMPreadingisnotwithintherequired
temperature ranges,allowthevehicletocool,
oroperatethevehicleuntiltheappropriate
transmission fluidtemperature isreached.

compartment, onthe
passenger sideofthe
vehicle.

Flipthehandleupandthenpulloutthedipstick
andwipeitwithacleanragorpapertowel.
Installthedipstickbypushingitbackinalltheway,
waitthreeseconds, andthenpullitbackoutagain.
