Messages aredisplayed ontheDICtonotifythedriver
thatthestatusofthevehiclehaschangedandthat
someactionmaybeneededbythedrivertocorrectthe
condition. Multiplemessages mayappearoneafter
another.
Whenthevehicle’sbattery isseverely discharged, this
messagewilldisplayandfourchimeswillsound.Start
thevehicleimmediately.Ifthevehicleisnotstartedand
thebatterycontinues todischarge, theclimatecontrols,
heatedseats,andaudiosystemswillshutoffandthe
vehiclemayrequireajumpstart.Thesesystemswill
function againafterthevehicleisstarted.
Somemessages maynotrequireimmediate action,but
youcanpressanyoftheDICbuttonsontheinstrument
paneltoacknowledge thatyoureceived themessages
andtoclearthemfromthedisplay.
CHANGEENGINEOILSOON
Thismessagedisplays whentheengineoilneedsto
bechanged. Whenyouchangetheengineoil,besure
toresettheCHANGEENGINEOILSOONmessage.

page 8‑3 formoreinformation.
Somemessages cannotbeclearedfromtheDIC
displaybecausetheyaremoreurgent.These
messages requireactionbeforetheycanbecleared.
Youshouldtakeanymessages thatappearonthe
displayseriously andrememberthatclearing the
messages willonlymakethemessages disappear,not
correcttheproblem.
DRIVERDOOROPEN
Thefollowing arethepossiblemessages thatcanbe
displayed andsomeinformation aboutthem.
Thismessagedisplays andachimesoundsifthedriver
doorisnotfullyclosedandthevehicleisshiftedoutof
P(Park).Stopandturnoffthevehicle, checkthedoor
forobstructions, andclosethedooragain.Checktosee
ifthemessagestillappearsontheDIC.
