Drivecarefully whenthereissnoworicebetween
thetiresandtheroad,creatinglesstraction orgrip.
Weticecanoccuratabout0°C(32°F)whenfreezing
rainbeginstofall,resulting inevenlesstraction. Avoid
drivingonweticeorinfreezing rainuntilroadscanbe
treatedwithsaltorsand.
Allowgreaterfollowing distanceonanyslippery road
andwatchforslippery spots.Icypatchescanoccur
onotherwise clearroadsinshadedareas.Thesurface
ofacurveoranoverpass canremainicywhenthe
surrounding roadsareclear.Avoidsuddensteering
maneuvers andbrakingwhileonice.

gentlysotraction isnotlost.Accelerating tooquickly
causesthewheelstospinandmakesthesurfaceunder
thetiresslick,sothereisevenlesstraction.

withthevehicleunlessthereishelpnearby.Ifpossible,

andkeepeveryone inthevehiclesafe:
Trynottobreakthefragiletraction. Ifyouaccelerate too
fast,thedrivewheelswillspinandpolishthesurface
underthetiresevenmore.

abilitytoaccelerate onslippery roads,butslowdown
andadjustyourdrivingtotheroadconditions. When
drivingthroughdeepsnow,turnoffthetraction control
partoftheStabiliTrak®Systemtohelpmaintainvehicle
motionatlowerspeeds.
