TheCertification/Tire labelalsotellsyouthe
maximum weightsforthefrontandrearaxles,
calledGrossAxleWeightRating(GAWR).Tofind
outtheactualloadsonthefrontandrearaxles,
youneedtogotoaweighstationandweighthe
vehicle. Yourdealer/retailer canhelpyouwiththis.
Besuretospreadouttheloadequally onboth
sidesofthecenterline.
NeverexceedtheGVWRforthevehicle, orthe
GAWRforeitherthefrontorrearaxle.
And,ifyoudohaveaheavyload,itshouldbe
spreadout.

attached totherearedgeofthedriver's door.
Thelabelshowsthesizeofthevehicle's original
tiresandtheinflation pressures neededtoobtain
thegrossweightcapacity ofthevehicle. Thisis
calledGrossVehicleWeightRating(GVWR).
TheGVWRincludes theweightofthevehicle, all
occupants, fuel,andcargo.
Inthecaseofasuddenstoporcollision,
thingscarried inthebedofyourtruckcould
shiftforward andcomeintothepassenger
area,injuring youandothers. Ifyouput
thingsinthebedofyourtruck,youshould
makesuretheyareproperly secured.
