outboard occupants. Although thesafetybelt
pretensioners cannotbeseen,theyarepartofthe
safetybeltassembly.Theycanhelptightenthesafety
beltsduringtheearlystagesofamoderate tosevere
frontal, nearfrontal, orrearcrashifthethreshold
conditions forpretensioner activation aremet.And,
ifthevehiclehassideimpactairbags, safetybelt
pretensioners canhelptightenthesafetybeltsina
sidecrashorarollover event.
Adjusttheheightsothattheshoulder portion ofthebelt
iscentered ontheshoulder.Thebeltshouldbeaway
fromthefaceandneck,butnotfallingofftheshoulder.
Impropershoulder beltheightadjustment couldreduce
theeffectiveness ofthesafetybeltinacrash.
Squeezethebuttons(A)
onthesidesoftheheight
adjuster andmovethe
heightadjustertothe
desiredposition.
Pretensioners workonlyonce.Ifthepretensioners
activate inacrash,theywillneedtobereplaced, and
probably othernewpartsforthevehicle's safetybelt

Theadjuster canbemovedupjustbypushingupon
theshoulder beltguide.
Aftertheadjuster issettothedesiredposition, tryto
moveitdownwithoutsqueezing thebuttonstomake
sureithaslockedintoposition.
