AutomaticOperation
AUTO(Automatic): Whenautomatic operation is
activethesystemwillcontroltheinsidetemperature, the
airdelivery,andthefanspeed.
Usethestepsbelowtoplacetheentiresystemin
automatic mode:

PresstheAUTObutton.
Thedriverandpassenger sidetemperature knobsare
usedtoadjustthetemperature oftheaircoming
throughthesystemonthedriverorpassenger's sideof
thevehicle. Thetemperature canbeadjusted evenif
thesystemisturnedoff.Thisispossiblesinceoutside
airalwaysflowsthroughthesystemasthevehicleis
movingforwardunlessitissettorecirculation mode.

WhenAUTOisselected, thedisplaywillchangeto
showthecurrenttemperature(s) andAUTOwill
appear.Thecurrentdelivery modeandfanspeed
willalsobedisplayed forapproximately
fiveseconds.
WhenAUTOisselected, theairconditioning
operation andairinletwillbeautomatically
controlled. Theairconditioning compressor will
runwhentheoutsidetemperature isoverabout
Turntheknobclockwise orcounterclockwise to
increase ordecrease thecabintemperature. The
displaywillshowthetemperature settingincreasing or
decreasing.

(40°F).Theairinletwillnormally besetto
outsideair.Ifitishotoutside,theairinletmay
automatically switchtorecirculate insideairtohelp
quicklycooldownthevehicle. Thelightonthe
buttoncomesoninrecirculation.
Setthepassenger's temperature settingtomatchthe
drivertemperature settingbypressing thepassenger
powerknob.
Whenindefrost modethepassenger temperature
settingcannotbechanged.
