CruiseGradeBraking
CruiseGradeBrakingassistswhendrivingona
downhill grade.Itmaintains vehiclespeedby
automatically implementing ashiftschedule thatuses
theengineandthetransmission toslowthevehicle.
CruiseGradeBrakingoperateswhileCruiseControlis
engagedinTow/Haulmodetoassistinmaintaining
vehiclespeedunderloadedvehicleconditions.
Itutilizes vehicleacceleration anddeviation from
desiredspeedtodetermine thecorrectgearforthe
operating condition. Ifvehiclespeedisabovethe
desiredspeedthetransmission willdownshift toslow
thevehicle. Ifvehiclespeedisnearorbelowdesired
speedthetranswillupshift, allowing vehiclespeedto
increase.
Settheparkingbrakebyholdingtheregularbrake
pedaldown,thenpushingdowntheparkingbrake
pedal.
Iftheignition ison,thebrakesystemwarninglight
