Ifthishappens, movethesteering wheelfromrightto
leftwhileturningthekeytoACC/ACCESSORY.Ifthis
doesn'twork,thenthevehicleneedsservice.
Theignition switchhas
fourdifferent positions.
Notice: Usingatooltoforcethekeytoturninthe
ignition couldcausedamagetotheswitchorbreak
thekey.Usethecorrectkey,makesureitisallthe
wayin,andturnitonlywithyourhand.Ifthekey
cannotbeturnedbyhand,seeyourdealer/retailer.
B(ACC/ACCESSORY): Thisposition letsthingslike
theradioandthewindshield wipersoperatewhilethe
engineisoff.Usethisposition ifthevehiclemustbe
pushedortowed.
C(ON/RUN): Thisposition canbeusedtooperatethe
electrical accessories andtodisplaysomeinstrument
panelclusterwarningandindicator lights.Theswitch
staysinthisposition whentheengineisrunning. The
transmission isalsounlocked inthisposition on
automatic transmission vehicles.
ToshiftoutofP(Park),theignition mustbeinON/RUN
orACC/ACCESSORYandtheregularbrakepedalmust
beapplied.
A(LOCK/OFF): Thisposition lockstheignition.
Itmayalsolockthesteering wheelandautomatic
transmission. ThekeycanberemovedinLOCK/OFF.
IfyouleavethekeyintheACC/ACCESSORYor
ON/RUNposition withtheengineoff,thebatterycould
bedrained. Youmaynotbeabletostartthevehicleif
thebatteryisallowedtodrainforanextended period
oftime.
Onvehicles withanautomatic transmission, theshift
levermustbeinP(Park)toturntheignition switchto
LOCK/OFF.
