Openthehoistshaftaccesscoveronthebumper
toaccessthesparetirelock(J).
4. Inserttheopenendof
theextension(F)
throughtheholeinthe
rearbumper(G)(hoist
shaftaccesshole).
Toremovethesparetirelock,inserttheignition
key,turnitclockwise  andpullitstraight  out.
Besurethehoistend(F)oftheextension     connects
tothehoistshaft(E).Theribbedsquareendofthe
extension isusedtolowerthesparetire.

Assemblethetwojackhandleextensions(I)and
wheelwrench(H)asshown.
Donotusethechiseledendofthewheelwrench.
5.
Turnthewheelwrenchcounterclockwise   tolower
thesparetiretotheground.Continuetoturnthe
wheelwrenchuntilthesparetirecanbepulledout
fromunderthevehicle.
Ifthesparetiredoesnotlowertotheground,the
secondary latchisengagedcausingthetirenotto
lower.SeeSecondary  LatchSystem on page 7‑89
formoreinformation.
