TPMSMalfunctionLightandMessage
TheTPMSwillnotfunction properly ifoneormoreof
theTPMSsensorsaremissingorinoperable. Whenthe
systemdetectsamalfunction, thelowtirewarninglight
flashesforaboutoneminuteandthenstaysonforthe
remainder oftheignition cycle.ADICwarningmessage
isalsodisplayed. ThelowtirewarninglightandDIC
warningmessagecomeonateachignition cycleuntil
theproblemiscorrected. Someoftheconditions that
cancausethemalfunction lightandDICmessageto
comeonare:
Replacement tiresorwheelsdonotmatchyour
vehicle's original equipment tiresorwheels.
Tiresandwheelsotherthanthoserecommended
foryourvehiclecouldpreventtheTPMSfrom

usingradiowavefrequencies similartotheTPMS
couldcausetheTPMSsensorstomalfunction.
IftheTPMSisnotfunctioning itcannotdetectorsignal
alowtirecondition. Seeyourdealer/retailer forservice
iftheTPMSmalfunction lightandDICmessagecomes
onandstayson.
