restraint usingLATCH.Ifachildrestraint   issecured
usingasafetybeltanditusesatoptether,seeLower
AnchorsandTethersforChildren   (LATCH) on
page 2‑59 fortoptetheranchorlocations.
Donotsecureachildseatinaposition     withoutatop
tetheranchorifanational   orlocallawrequires  thatthe
toptetherbeanchored,  oriftheinstructions  thatcome
withthechildrestraint  saythatthetopstrapmust
beanchored.
InCanada,thelawrequires   thatforward-facing child
restraints haveatoptether,andthatthetetherbe
attached.
Youwillbeusingthelap-shoulder   belttosecurethe
childrestraint inthisposition.  Followtheinstructions
thatcamewiththechildrestraint.
4. Pushthelatchplateintothebuckleuntilitclicks.
Position thereleasebuttononthebucklesothat
thesafetybeltcouldbequicklyunbuckled    if
necessary.

Movetheseatasfarbackasitwillgobefore
securing theforward-facing childrestraint.

Putthechildrestraint  ontheseat.
Pickupthelatchplate,andrunthelapand
shoulder portions ofthevehicle's safetybelt
throughoraroundtherestraint.   Thechildrestraint
instructions willshowyouhow.
