Forsomechildren, including childreninchildrestraints,
andforverysmalladults,thepassenger sensing
systemmayormaynotturnofftherightfrontpassenger
frontalairbag,depending upontheperson's seating
postureandbodybuild.Everyone inyourvehiclewho
hasoutgrown childrestraints shouldwearasafetybelt
properly —whetherornotthereisanairbagfor
thatperson.
3. Removeanyadditional itemsfromtheseatsuchas
blankets, cushions, seatcovers,seatheaters,
orseatmassagers.

Reinstall thechildrestraint following thedirections
provided bythechildrestraint manufacturer and
refertoSecuringaChildRestraint intheRight
FrontSeatPosition onpage2‑71.

If,afterreinstalling thechildrestraint andrestarting
thevehicle, theonindicator isstilllit,turnthe
vehicleoff.Thenslightly reclinethevehicle
seatbackandadjusttheseatcushion,ifadjustable,
tomakesurethatthevehicleseatbackisnot
pushingthechildrestraint intotheseatcushion.

stayson,itmeansthatsomething maybewrong
withtheairbagsystem.Tohelpavoidinjuryto
yourselforothers,havethevehicleserviced right

Alsomakesurethechildrestraint isnottrapped
underthevehicleheadrestraint. Ifthishappens,
adjusttheheadrestraint. SeeHeadRestraints on
page 2‑2.

Restartthevehicle.
Thepassenger sensingsystemmayormaynot
turnofftheairbagforachildinachildrestraint
depending uponthechild’sseatingpostureand
bodybuild.Itisbettertosecurethechildrestraint
inarearseat.
