{WARNING:
Fuelcansprayoutonyouifyouopenthefuelcap
tooquickly.Ifyouspillfuelandthensomething
ignitesit,youcouldbebadlyburned.Thisspray
canhappenifthetankisnearlyfull,andismore
likelyinhotweather.Openthefuelcapslowlyand
waitforanyhissnoisetostop.Thenunscrewthe
capalltheway.
Becarefulnottospillfuel.Donottopofforoverfill      the
tankandwaitafewsecondsafteryouhavefinished
pumpingbeforeremoving  thenozzle.Cleanfuelfrom
paintedsurfaces assoonaspossible.  SeeWashing
YourVehicleonpage7‑102.
Toopenthefueldoor,pushtherearward    centeredgein
andreleaseanditwillopen.
Toremovethefuelcap,turnitslowlycounterclockwise.
Thefuelcaphasaspringinit;ifthecapisreleased       too
soon,itwillspringbacktotheright.
Whenreplacing thefuelcap,insertthetetherinitshole
beforetightening thecap.Turnthefuelcapclockwise
untilitclicks.Itwillrequiremoreefforttoturnthefuel
caponthelastturnasyoutightenit.Makesurethecap
isfullyinstalled.  Thediagnostic systemcandetermine  if
thefuelcaphasbeenleftofforimproperly     installed.
Thiswouldallowfueltoevaporate   intotheatmosphere.

Whilerefueling, hangthetethered  fuelcapfromthe
hookonthefueldoor.
