Drivecarefully whenthereissnoworicebetweenthe
tiresandtheroad,creating lesstraction orgrip.Wetice
canoccuratabout0°C(32°F)whenfreezing rain
beginstofall,resulting inevenlesstraction. Avoid
drivingonweticeorinfreezing rainuntilroadscanbe
treatedwithsaltorsand.
Allowgreaterfollowing distanceonanyslippery road
andwatchforslippery spots.Icypatchescanoccuron
otherwise clearroadsinshadedareas.Thesurface
ofacurveoranoverpass canremainicywhenthe
surrounding roadsareclear.Avoidsuddensteering
maneuvers andbrakingwhileonice.

gentlysotraction isnotlost.Accelerating tooquickly
causesthewheelstospinandmakesthesurfaceunder

andkeepeveryone inthevehiclesafe:
Trynottobreakthefragiletraction. Ifyouaccelerate too
fast,thedrivewheelswillspinandpolishthesurface
underthetiresevenmore.

abilitytoaccelerate onslippery roads,butslowdown
andadjustyourdrivingtotheroadconditions. When
drivingthroughdeepsnow,turnoffthetraction control
partoftheStabiliTrak®Systemtohelpmaintainvehicle
motionatlowerspeeds.
