Add-onequipment candrainthevehiclebattery,evenif
thevehicleisnotoperating.
Thewiringcircuits inthevehicleareprotected from
shortcircuits byacombination offuses,circuitbreakers
andfusiblethermallinks.Thisgreatlyreducesthe
chanceoffirescausedbyelectrical problems.
Thevehiclehasanairbagsystem.Beforeattempting to
addanything electrical tothevehicle, seeServicing

Lookatthesilver-colored bandinsidethefuse.Ifthe
bandisbrokenormelted,replacethefuse.Besureyou
replaceabadfusewithanewoneoftheidentical size
andrating.
WindshieldWiperFuses
Thewindshield wipermotorisprotected byacircuit
breakerandafuse.Ifthemotoroverheats duetoheavy
snow,etc.,thewiperwillstopuntilthemotorcools.
Iftheoverload iscausedbysomeelectrical problem,
haveitfixed.
Ifyoueverhaveaproblemontheroadanddon'thave
asparefuse,youcanborrowonethathasthe
sameamperage. Justpicksomefeatureofyourvehicle
thatyoucangetalongwithout –liketheradioor
cigarette lighter –anduseitsfuse,ifitisthe
correctamperage. Replaceitassoonasyoucan.
