isusingthewrongkey,itprevents    thevehiclefrom
starting. Anyoneusingatrial-and-error  methodtostart
thevehiclewillbediscouraged   becauseofthehigh
numberofelectrical  keycodes.

Iftheenginedoesnotstartandthesecurity     lighton
theinstrument panelclustercomesonwhentryingto
startthevehicle,  theremaybeaproblemwithyour
theft-deterrent system.Turntheignition  offand
tryagain.
YourvehiclehasPASS-Key®III+(Personalized
Automotive Security System)theft-deterrent system.
®
PASS-Key III+isapassivetheft-deterrent   system.
Iftheenginestilldoesnotstart,andthekeyappearsto
beundamaged, tryanotherignition  key.Atthistime,
youmayalsowanttocheckthefuse,seeFusesand
CircuitBreakersonpage7‑108.Iftheenginestilldoes
notstartwiththeotherkey,yourvehicleneedsservice.
Thesystemisautomatically  armedwhenthekeyis
removedfromtheignition.
Thesystemisautomatically  disarmed whenthekeyis
turnedtoON/RUN,ACC/ACCESSORYorSTARTfrom
theLOCK/OFFposition.
