CheckingtheRestraintSystems
SafetyBelts
Nowandthen,checkthatthesafetybeltreminder     light,
safetybelts,buckles,  latchplates,retractors, and
anchorages areallworkingproperly.
Notice: Ifanairbagcovering  isdamaged,
opened,orbroken,theairbagmaynotwork
properly.Donotopenorbreaktheairbagcoverings.
Ifthereareanyopenedorbrokenairbagcovers,
havetheairbagcoveringand/orairbagmodule
replaced. Forthelocation oftheairbagmodules,
seeWhatMakesanAirbagInflate?   on page 2‑81.
Seeyourdealer/retailer  forservice.
Lookforanyotherlooseordamagedsafetybeltsystem
partsthatmightkeepasafetybeltsystemfromdoingits
job.Seeyourdealer/retailer  tohaveitrepaired.  Tornor
frayedsafetybeltsmaynotprotectyouinacrash.They
canripapartunderimpactforces.Ifabeltistornor
frayed,getanewonerightaway.
