WhenaDVDMapDiscisinstalled, noisefromthedisc

IfDiscReadErrorappearsonthedisplayand/or
themapdisccomesout,itcouldbeforoneofthe
following reasons:
Thenavigation systeminthisvehicleusesaDVDto
storemapinformation. Whenthesystemloadsdata
fromthedisc,youmayhearaveryslightbuzzsound
fromthenavigation system.Thesoundissimilartothat
ofaCDplayerseekingthroughdifferent tracks.Thisis
normaloperation andmayoccurmorefrequently with
theuseofXMNavTraffic.

Itisveryhot,whenthetemperature returnsto
normal,themapdiscshouldplay.
Youaredrivingonaveryroughroad.Whenthe
roadbecomessmoother,themapdiscshouldplay.
Yourdealer/retailer mayhaveinstalled themapDVD.
IfthemapDVDwasnotinstalled, dothefollowing to
loadit:
Themapdiscisdirty,scratched, wet,
orupsidedown.
Ifanyerroroccursrepeatedly orifanerrorcannotbe
corrected, contactyourdealer/retailer.

Turntheignition on.
PresstheO(power)knobtoturnthenavigation
systemonorpresstheNAV,DEST,orMENUhard
keys.IftheMENUhardkeyisselected, pressand
holduntiltheNAVscreenisactive,orselectthe
NAVtabmanually.
EjectingtheDVDMapDisc
Z(DVDMapDiscEject): Presstwicetoejectthe
DVDmapdisc.Thisbuttonislocatednexttothe
upperdiscslot.

LoadthemapDVDpartwayintotheslotlocated
justbelowthescreen.Thesystemwillpullitin.
TouchtheOKscreenbuttontoagreetothe
Cautionscreen,ifitappears. Ifthemapisinsplit
screenmode,youmustpushtheNAVtabbuttonto
getthefullmapscreen.
