DRIVERDOOROPEN
Thismessagedisplays andachimesoundsifthedriver
doorisnotfullyclosedandthevehicleisshiftedoutof
P(Park).Stopandturnoffthevehicle, checkthedoor
forobstructions, andclosethedooragain.Checktosee
ifthemessagestillappearsontheDIC.
Thefollowing arethepossiblemessages thatcanbe
displayed andsomeinformation aboutthem.
BATTERYLOWSTARTVEHICLE
ENGINEHOTA/C(AirConditioning)
TURNEDOFF
Whenthevehicle’sbattery isseverely discharged, this
messagewilldisplayandfourchimeswillsound.Start
thevehicleimmediately.Ifthevehicleisnotstartedand
thebatterycontinues todischarge, theclimatecontrols,
heatedseats,andaudiosystemswillshutoffandthe
vehiclemayrequireajumpstart.Thesesystemswill
function againafterthevehicleisstarted.
Thismessagedisplays whentheenginecoolant
becomeshotterthanthenormaloperating temperature.

Toavoidaddedstrainonahotengine,theair
conditioning compressor automatically turnsoff.
Whenthecoolanttemperature returnstonormal,
theairconditioning compressor turnsbackon.Youcan
continue todriveyourvehicle.
CHANGEENGINEOILSOON
Thismessagedisplays whentheengineoilneedstobe
changed. Whenyouchangetheengineoil,besureto
resettheCHANGEENGINEOILSOONmessage.See

formoreinformation.
Ifthismessagecontinues toappear,havethesystem
repaired byyourdealer/retailer assoonaspossible to
avoiddamagetotheengine.
