ifequipped, whichhasalapbelt.SeeLapBelt    on
page 2‑47 formoreinformation.
Thelap‐shoulder beltsforthefirstandsecondrow
seatingpositions areequipped withfree‐fallinglatch
plates.Ifthevehiclehasathirdrow,thelap‐shoulder
beltshaveeitherfree‐falling  orcinchinglatchplates.
Usethefollowing  pictures todetermine thelatch
platestyle:

Adjusttheseat,iftheseatisadjustable,    soyou
cansitupstraight.  Toseehow,see“Seats”in
theIndex.

Pickupthelatchplateandpullthebeltacrossyou.
Donotletitgettwisted.
Thelap-shoulder beltmaylockifyoupullthebelt
acrossyouveryquickly.Ifthishappens,    letthebelt
gobackslightly  tounlockit.Thenpullthebelt
acrossyoumoreslowly.
