Information Center(DIC).
CompassZone
Thezoneissettozoneeightuponleavingthefactory.
Yourdealer/retailer willsetthecorrectzoneforyour
location.
Undercertaincircumstances,  suchasduringalong
distance cross-country tripormovingtoanewstate
orprovince, itwillbenecessary  tocompensate for
compassvariance byresetting thezonethroughthe
DICifthezoneisnotsetcorrectly.
Compassvariance isthedifference  betweentheearth's
magnetic northandtruegeographic  north.Ifthe
compassisnotsettothezonewhereyoulive,the
compassmaygivefalsereadings.   Thecompassmust
besettothevariance   zoneinwhichthevehicleis
traveling.

Findthevehicle's  currentlocation andvariance
zonenumberonthemap.
Toadjustforcompassvariance,   usethefollowing
procedure:
Zones1through15areavailable.
Presstheset/reset  buttontoscrollthroughand
selecttheappropriate  variance zone.
CompassVariance(Zone)Procedure
1.
Donotsetthecompasszonewhenthevehicleis
moving.OnlysetitwhenthevehicleisinP(Park).
4. Pressthetrip/fuel  buttonuntilthevehicleheading,
forexample, NforNorth,isdisplayed   intheDIC.
Pressthevehicleinformation  buttonuntilPRESS
VTOCHANGECOMPASSZONEdisplays.
5. Ifcalibration isnecessary,calibrate  thecompass.
