ProtectingExteriorBrightMetalParts
Occasional waxingormildpolishing ofthevehicleby
handmaybenecessary toremoveresiduefromthe
paintfinish.Approvedcleaning products canbe
obtained fromyourdealer/retailer.
Brightmetalpartsshouldbecleanedregularly tokeep
theirluster.Washingwithwaterisallthatisusually
needed.However,chromepolishmaybeusedon
chromeorstainless steeltrim,ifnecessary.
Ifthevehiclehasabasecoat/clearcoat paintfinish,the
clearcoat givesmoredepthandglosstothecolored
basecoat. Alwaysusewaxesandpolishesthatare
non-abrasive andmadeforabasecoat/clearcoat paint
finish.
Usespecialcarewithaluminumtrim.Toavoid
damaging protective trim,neveruseautoorchrome
polish,steamorcausticsoaptocleanaluminum.
Acoatingofwax,rubbedtohighpolish,is
recommended forallbrightmetalparts.
Notice: Machinecompounding oraggressive
polishing onabasecoat/clearcoat paintfinishmay
damageit.Useonlynon-abrasive waxesand
polishesthataremadeforabasecoat/clearcoat
