Thetraction control
disablebuttonislocated
ontheinstrument panel
belowtheclimate
controls.
STABILITRAK.IftheseDICmessages appear,make
suretheStabiliTrak systemhasnotbeenturnedoff
usingtheStabiliTrakon/offbutton.Thenturnthe
steering wheelclockwise fromthenineo'clockposition
tothethreeo'clockposition. Ifthisclearsthe
message(s), thevehicledoesnotneedservicing.
Ifthisdoesnotclearthemessage(s), thenturnthe
vehicleoff,wait15seconds,andthenturnitbackon
againtoresetthesystem.Ifanyofthesemessages
stillappearontheDriverInformation Center(DIC),the
vehicleshouldbetakeninforservice. Formore

Thetraction controlpartofStabiliTrakcanbeturned
offbypressing andreleasing theStabiliTrakbuttonif
bothsystems(traction controlandStabiliTrak) were
previously on.Todisablebothtraction controland
StabiliTrak, pressandholdthebuttonforfiveseconds.
TractioncontrolandStabiliTrak canbeturnedonby
pressing andreleasing theStabiliTrak buttonifnot
automatically shutoffforanyotherreason.
WhentheTCSorStabiliTrak systemisturnedoff,
theStabiliTraklightandtheappropriate TCSoffor
StabiliTrakoffmessagewillbedisplayed ontheDICto
warnthedriver.Thevehiclewillstillhavebrake-traction
controlwhentraction controlisoff,butwillnotbeable
tousetheenginespeedmanagement system.See
TheStabiliTrak lightwill
flashontheinstrument
panelclusterwhenthe
systemisbothon
andactivated.
