norm al ESP stability function retu rns but TCS rem ains
off. When the vehicle speed drop s below 35 mph (56
km/ h), the ESP system shu ts off. ESP is deactivated at
low vehicle speed s in 4WD low range so that it will not
interfere with off-road driving but ESP function retu rns
to provid e the stability featu re at speed s above 40 mph
WARN ING!
With the ESP switch ed off, the enhanced veh icle
stab ility offered by ESP and ERM are unavailab le. In
an emergen cy evasive maneuver, the ESP and ERM
system s will not engage to assist in main tain ing
stab ility. The “Full Off” mode is inten ded for off-
road use only.

NOTE: The “ESP OFF” message will display and the
audible chim e will sou nd when the gear selector is
placed into the “P” (Park) position from any other

This will occur even if the message was previou sly

TSC (Trailer Sway Control)
TSC uses sensors in the vehicle to recognize an exces-
sively swaying trailer and will take the approp riate
actions to attem pt to stop the sway. The system may
red uce engine power and apply the brake of the appro-
priate wheel(s) to counteract the sway of the trailer. TSC
will becom e active autom atically once an excessively
swaying trailer is recognized . No driver action is re-
quired . Note that TSC cannot stop all trailers from
