Tire Pressures for High Speed Operation
Radial-Ply Tires
The manu factu rer advocates driving at safe speed s
within posted speed limits. Where speed limits or cond i-
tions are such that the vehicle can be driven at high
speed s, maintaining correct tire inflation pressu re is very
important. Increased tire pressu re and red uced vehicle
load ing may be requ ired for high-sp eed vehicle opera-
tion. Refer to original equ ipment or an authorized tire
dealer for recom mend ed safe operating speed s, load ing
and cold tire inflation pressu res.
WARN ING!
Com bining rad ial ply tires with oth er typ es of tires
on you r veh icle will cause you r veh icle to handle
poorly. The instab ility could cause an accid ent. Al-
ways use rad ial tires in sets of fou r. Never combine
them with oth er typ es of tires.

Cuts and punctu res in rad ial tires are rep airable only in
the tread area becau se of sidewall flexing. Consu lt you r
dealer for rad ial tire rep airs.
WARN ING!
High speed drivin g with you r veh icle at or above
maxim um load is dangerou s. The added strain on
you r tires could cause them to fail. You could have a
seriou s accid ent. Don’t drive a veh icle load ed to the
maxim um capacity at contin uous speed s above 75
mph (120 km/h).
Tire Spinning
When stu ck in mud, sand , snow, or ice cond itions, do not
spin you r vehicle’s wheels above 35 mph (55 km/ h).
