to the floor while in defrost so that comfort can be
maintained .
Panel
Air flows throu gh the outlets located in the instru -
ment panel. Air flows throu gh the registers in the
back of the center console to the rear seat passengers.
These registers can be closed to block airflow.
Floor
Air flows throu gh the floor outlets located und er
the instru ment panel and into the rear seating area
throu gh vents und er the front seats. Some airflow is
delivered to defrost while in the floor mode so that
comfort can be maintained .
Recircula tion
The recircu lation featu re can be selected with
the mode control knob. You may choose be-
tween Bi-Level Recircu lation and Panel Recir-
culation air outlets while in this mode. Nor-
mally, air enters from outsid e the vehicle. However, when
in Recircu lation mode air insid e the vehicle is re-u sed .
Use this mode to rap idly cool the insid e of the vehicle.
The Recircu lation mode can also be used to tem porarily
block out outsid e odors, smoke, and dust.
Bi-Level
Air flows both throu gh the outlets located in the
instru ment panel and those located on the floor. Air
flows throu gh the registers in the back of the center
console, and und er the front seats to the rear seat
passengers. These registers can be closed to partially
block airflow. The center console outlets deliver cond i-
tioned air while the floor outlets deliver heated air.
Air Con dition ing Operation
To turn on the Air Cond itioning, set the fan control
at any speed and press the snow flake button
