Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert) will be reactivated
if the driver’s seat belt is unbu ckled for more than 10
second s and the vehicle speed is greater than 5 mph (8
km/ h).
2. Turn the ignition key to the ACCESSORY/ RUN posi-
tion (engine does not need to be running), and wait for
the Seat Belt Warning Light to turn off.

Within 60 second s of starting the vehicle, unbu ckle
and then re-bu ckle the driver’s seat belt at least three
times with 10 second s, end ing with the seat belt buckled .
The Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert) can be en-
abled or disabled by you r authorized dealer or by
follow ing these step s:

Turn the ignition key to the OFF position. A single
chim e will sou nd to signify that you have successfu lly
completed the program ming.
NOTE: The follow ing step s must occur within the first

or START position. The manu factu rer does not recom -
mend deactivating
(BeltAlert).
