ant) solu tion. The use of lower quality water will
red uce the amount of corrosion protection in the
engine cooling system .
Your vehicle has been built with an improved antifreeze/
coolant that allow s extend ed maintenance intervals. This
antifreeze/ coolant can be used up to 5 Years or 100,000
miles (160 000 km) before rep lacem ent. To prevent red uc-
ing this extend ed maintenance period , it is important that
you use the sam e antifreeze/ coolant throu ghou t the life
of you r vehicle. Please review these recom mend ations for
using Hybrid Organic Additive Technology (HOAT)
antifreeze/ coolant.
Please note that it is the owner’s resp onsibility to main-
tain the prop er level of protection against freezing ac-
cord ing to the tem peratu res occurring in the area where
the vehicle is operated .
NOTE: Mixing antifreeze/ coolant typ es will decrease
the life of the antifreeze/ coolant and will requ ire more
frequ ent antifreeze/ coolant changes.

HOAT (Hybrid Organic Additive Technology)
The cap must be fully tightened to prevent loss of
antifreeze/ coolant, and to insu re that antifreeze/ coolant
will retu rn to the rad iator from the coolant recovery tank.

Mix a minim um solu tion of 50% HOAT engine coolant
and distilled water. Use higher concentrations (not to
exceed 70%) if tem peratu res below -34°F (-37°C) are
anticip ated .
