each tire to the vehicle’s recom mend ed cold placard
pressu re valu e. The system will autom atically update
and the “Tire Pressu re Monitoring Telltale Light” will
extingu ish once the updated tire pressu res have been
received . The vehicle may need to be driven for up to 10
minu tes above 15 mph (24 km/ h) to receive this infor-
mation.

facilities emitting the sam e Radio Frequ encies as the TPM
sensors.

that affects rad io wave signals.

The “Tire Pressu re Monitoring Telltale Light” will flash
on and off for 75 second s, and rem ain on solid when a
system fault is detected . The system fault will also sou nd
a chim e. If the ignition key is cycled , this sequ ence will
rep eat, provid ing the system fault still exists. The Tire
Pressu re Monitoring Telltale Lamp will turn off when the
fault cond ition no longer exists. A system fault can occur
by any of the follow ing scenarios:
4. Using tire chains on the vehicle.

Using wheels/ tires not equ ipped with TPM sensors.
NOTE: If you r vehicle is equ ipped with a matching full
size spare wheel and tire assem bly, it has a tire pressu re
monitoring sensor, and can be monitored by the Tire
Pressu re Monitoring System (TPMS). In the event that the
matching full size spare tire is swapped with a low
pressu re road tire, the next ignition key cycle will still
show the “Tire Pressu re Monitoring Telltale Light” to be
ON, and a chim e to sou nd . Driving the vehicle for up to
