accumulation of foreign material on the sealing surfaces.
Disp osal of Used Engin e Coolan t
Used ethylene glycol-based antifreeze/ coolant is a regu -
lated substance requ iring prop er disposal. Check with
you r local authorities to determ ine the disposal rules for
you r community. To prevent ingestion by anim als and
child ren, do not store ethylene glycol-based antifreeze/
coolant in open containers or allow it to rem ain in
puddles on the grou nd . If ingested by a child , contact a
physician immediately. Clean up any grou nd spills im-
mediately.

The warn ing word s DO NOT OPEN HOT on the
coolin g system pressu re cap are a safety precau -
tion . Never add antifreeze/coolan t when the en-
gin e is overh eated . Do not loosen or rem ove the
cap to cool an overh eated engin e. Heat causes
pressu re to build up in the coolin g system . To
preven t scald ing or injury, do not rem ove the
pressu re cap while the system is hot or under
pressu re.
Coolan t Level
The coolant bottle provid es a quick visu al method for
determ ining that the antifreeze/ coolant level is adequ ate.
With the engine idling, and warm to norm al operating
tem peratu re, the level of the antifreeze/ coolant in the
bottle shou ld be betw een the ranges ind icated on the
bottle.
Do not use a pressu re cap oth er than the one
specified for you r veh icle. Person al injury or en-
gin e damage may resu lt.
