THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE

NOTE: If you try to rem ove the key before you place the
lever in PARK, the key may becom e trap ped tem porarily
in the ignition cylind er. If this occurs, rotate the key to the
right slightly, then rem ove the key as described . If a
malfunction occurs, the system will trap the key in the
ignition cylind er to warn you that this safety featu re is
inop erable. The engine can be started and stop ped but
the key cannot be rem oved until you obtain service.
WARN ING!
Never leave child ren alon e in a veh icle. Leavin g
child ren in a veh icle unatten ded is dangerou s for a
number of reason s. A child or oth ers could be seri-
ously or fatally injured . Don’t leave the keys in the
ign ition . A child could operate power windows,
oth er controls, or move the veh icle.

NOTE: The power wind ow switches, rad io, power
outlets, and rem ovable console (if equ ipped), will rem ain
active for up to 45 second s after the ignition switch has
been turned off. Opening a vehicle front door will cancel
this featu re.
CAUTIO N!
An unlock ed car is an invitation to thieves. Alw ays
rem ove key from the ign ition and lock all doors
when leavin g the veh icle unatten ded.
