UNDERSTANDING YOUR INSTRUMENT PANEL
NOTE: Magnetic materials shou ld be kep t away from
the overhead console.
To set the varian ce: Turn the ignition switch ON and set
the display to Com pass. Press the MENU button for
approxim ately 5 second s but no more than 10 second s.
The “COMPASS VARIANCE” message and the last vari-
ance zone nu mber will be displayed . Press the STEP
button to select the prop er variance zone as show n in the
map. Press the RESET button to set the new variance
zone and resu me norm al operation.
Mini-Trip Functions — If Equipped
This displays inform ation on the follow ing:

Average Fuel Economy (ECO AVG)
Show s the average fuel econom y since the last reset. The
minim um average fuel econom y that will be displayed
on reset is 0.3 mpg.
•
Dist ance To Empt y (DTE)
Show s the estim ated distance that can be travelled with
the fuel rem aining in the tank. This estim ated distance is
determ ined using the MPG for the last few minu tes.
