Transaxle shifting will be more noticeable when Auto-
stick is engaged .
CAUTIO N!
Damage to the tran smission may occur if the follow -
ing precau tion s are not observed :
If a low range is selected and the engine accelerates to
the rev limit, the transaxle will autom atically select the
next higher ratio.
•
Shift into PARK only after the veh icle has come to
a complete stop .
•
If a downshift would cause the engine to over-sp eed ,
that shift will not occur until it is safe for the engine.
Mostly the transaxle will stay in the manu ally selected
ratio, how ever.

If the system detects powertrain overheating, the
transaxle will revert to the autom atic shift mode and
rem ain in that mode until the powertrain cools off.

idle speed .

Before shiftin g into any gear, make sure you r foot
is firm ly on the brak e pedal.
If the system detects a problem , it will disable the
AutoStick mode and the transaxle will retu rn to the
autom atic mode until the problem is corrected .
