Materials Added to Engin e Oil
Engin e Oil Filter Selection
The manu factu re strongly recom mend s against the addi-
tion of any additives (other than leak detection dyes) to
the engine oil. Engine oil is an engineered prod uct and
it’s perform ance may be impaired by supplemental ad-
ditives.
This manu factu re’s engines have a full-flow typ e oil filter.
Use a filter of this typ e for rep lacem ent. The quality of
rep lacem ent filters varies consid erably. Only high quality
filters shou ld be used to assu re most efficient service.
Mop ar Engine Oil Filters are a high quality oil filter and
are recom mend ed.
Disp osin g of Used Engin e Oil And Oil Filters
Care shou ld be taken in disposing of used engine oil and
oil filters from you r vehicle. Used oil and oil filters,
ind iscrim inately discard ed, can present a problem to the
environm ent. Contact you r dealer, service station, or
governm ental agency for advice on how and where used
oil and oil filters can be safely discard ed in you r area.
Drive Belt
At the mileage ind icated in section 8: “Maintenance
Sched ule”, rep lace the drive belt with a new drive belt.
NOTE: The belt must be rou ted correctly to ensu re
prop er drive function.

Spark Plugs
Engine Oil Filter
The engine oil filter shou ld be rep laced at every engine
oil change.
Spark plugs must fire prop erly to assu re engine perfor-
mance and emission control. New plugs shou ld be in-
stalled at the specified mileage. The entire set shou ld be
rep laced if there is any malfunction due to a faulty spark
