STARTING AND OPERATING
NOTE: Low pressu re in the spare or compact tire
(which has no sensor and therefore not monitored ) will
not cause the TPMS Telltale Lamp to illuminate or the
chim e to sou nd .
Service Tire System Soon
The TPMS Telltale Lamp will flash on and off for 75
second s, and rem ain on solid when a system fault is
detected . The system fault will also sou nd a chim e. In
addition, the EVIC will display a “SERVICE TIRE SYS-
TEM SOON” text message for 3 second s. This text
message is then follow ed by “— —”, for the pressu re
valu e(s) ind icating which TPMS Sensor(s) is not being
received .
Shou ld a low tire cond ition occur on any of the four
active road tire(s), you shou ld stop as soon as possible,
and inflate the low tire(s) that is flashing on the grap hic
display to the vehicle’s recom mend ed cold placard pres-
sure valu e. The system will autom atically update, the
grap hic display of the pressu re valu e(s) will stop flash-
ing, and the TPMS Lamp will extingu ish once the up-
dated tire pressu re(s) have been received . The vehicle
may need to be driven for up to 10 minu tes above 15 mph
(25
km/ h) for the TPMS to receive this inform ation.
