THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE

NOTE: If the SECURITY light stays on continu ously
during vehicle operation, have the system checked by
you r dealer.
If the alarm system is arm ed and the battery becom es
disconnected the system will rem ain arm ed when the
battery is reconnected . The exterior lights will flash, the
horn will sou nd , and the ignition will not start the 2
vehicle. If this occurs, disarm the system .
To Disarm the System:
Use the Keyless Entry transm itter to unlock the door. If
som ething has triggered the system in you r absence, the
horn will sou nd three times when you unlock the doors
and the security lamp will flash for 30 second s. Check the
vehicle for tam pering.
Tamper Alert
If the horn sou nd s 3 times when you unlock a front door
using either a key or the Keyless Entry Transm itter, the
alarm has been activated . Check the vehicle for tam per-
ing.
The Security system will also disarm , if the vehicle is
started with a program med Sentry Key. If an unp ro-
gram med Sentry Key is used to start a vehicle, the engine
will run for 2 second s and then the security alarm will be
initiated . To exit alarm ing mode, press the transm itter
Unlock button, or start the vehicle with a program med
Sentry Key.
Security System Manual Override
The system will not arm if you lock the doors using the
manu al door lock plunger.
