THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE
Gas prop s support the liftgate in the open position.
However, becau se the gas pressu re drop s with tem pera-
ture, it may be necessary to assist the prop s when
opening the liftgate in cold weather.
If you r vehicle is equ ipped with the Occupant Classifi-
cation System (OCS) there will be a Passenger Airbag
Disabled (PAD) Ind icator Light located on the center of
the instru ment panel.
OCCUPANT RESTRAINTS
Some of the most important safety featu res in you r
vehicle are the restraint system s. These inclu de the front
and rear seat belts for the driver and all passengers, front
airbags for both the driver and front passenger, and if
equ ipped, left and right wind ow bags for the driver and
passengers seated next to a wind ow and a driver inflat-
able knee blocker. If you will be carrying child ren too
small for adult-size seat belts, you r seat belts or the
LATCH featu re (refer to the Child Restraint section in this
manu al), can be used to hold infant and child restraint
system s.
