power is shifted autom atically to the rear wheels. The
greater the front wheel traction loss, the greater the
power transfer to the rear wheels.
WARN ING!
It is dangerou s to shift the selector lever out of “P” or
“N” if the engin e speed is high er than idle speed . If
you r foot is not firm ly on the brak e pedal, the veh icle
could accelerate quickly forw ard or in reverse. You
could lose control of the veh icle and hit som eon e or
som eth ing. Only shift into gear when the engin e is
idlin g norm ally and when you r righ t foot is firm ly on
the brak e pedal.
Additionally, on dry pavem ent und er heavy throttle
inp ut (where one may have no wheel spin), torqu e will be
sent to the rear in a preem ptive effort to improve vehicle
launch and perform ance characteristics.
CAUTIO N!
All wheels must have the sam e size and typ e tires.
Unequal tire sizes must not be used . Unequal tire
size may cause failu re of the power tran sfer unit.
