The outlets inclu de tethered caps labeled with a key or
battery sym bol ind icating the power sou rce. The passen-
ger side instru ment panel and center console outlets are
powered directly from the battery, item s plugged into
these outlets may discharge the battery and / or prevent
engine starting.

Many accessories that can be plugged in draw power
from the veh icle’s battery, even when not in use (i.e.
cellu lar phones, etc.). Eventually, if plugged in lon g
enough, the veh icle’s battery will disch arge suffi-
cien tly to degrad e battery life and/or preven t engin e
startin g.

The passenger side and center console outlets are pro-
tected by an autom atic reset circuit breaker. The auto-
matic circuit breaker restores power when the overload is
rem oved .
Accessories that draw high er power (i.e. coolers,
vacuum clean ers, ligh ts, etc.), will degrad e the battery
even more quickly. Only use these interm itten tly and
with greater caution .
NOTE: If desired , the fourth power outlet in the rear
cargo area can be converted by you r authorized dealer to
provid e power with the ignition switch in the OFF
position.

recharge the veh icle’s battery.

Power outlets are design ed for accessory plugs only.
Do not hang any typ e of accessory or accessory bracket
from the plug. Improp er use of the power outlet can
cause damage.
