the liftgate. The emergency liftgate latch release can be
accessed throu gh a snap -in cover located on the lift-
gate trim panel.

If the liftgate is locked and is not equ ipped with a 2
powered liftgate, pressing the button on the rem ote
keyless entry transm itter will resu lt in the liftgate
becom ing unlocked for 30 second s allow ing you to
manu ally access the liftgate area. The liftgate will
re-lock autom atically within 10 second s once the lift-
gate is closed .
Power Liftgate — If Equipped
Liftgate Release Handle
The power liftgate may be opened manu ally or by using
the button on the rem ote keyless entry transm itter. Press
the button on the rem ote keyless entry transm itter twice
within five second s, to open the power liftgate. Once the
liftgate is fully open, pressing the button twice within
five second s a second time will close the liftgate.
The liftgate will not manu ally open if the vehicle is
locked , in gear or if the vehicle speed is above 0 mph (0
km/ h).
NOTE:
•
In the event of a power malfunction to the liftgate, an
emergency liftgate latch release can be used to open
