wheel nu t tightness is 130 N·m (95 ft. lbs). If in doubt
abou t the correct tightness, have them checked with a
torqu e wrench by you r dealer or at a service station.

For convenience in checking the spare tire inflation,
stow with the valve-stem tow ard the rear of the
vehicle.

Lower the jack to its fully closed position.
WARN ING!
Using the jack-hand le, rotate the drive nu t to the
right until the wheel is draw n into place against the
und ersid e of the vehicle.
A loose tire or jack , throw n forw ard in a collision or
hard stop could endanger the occupants of the ve-
hicle. Alw ays stow the jack parts and the spare tire in
the places provid ed.
Continu e to rotate the nu t until you hear the mecha- 6
nism click three times. It cannot be overtightened .
Push against the tire several times to be sure it is
securely in place.
NOTE: The full size flat tire will not store und er the
vehicle. It shou ld be rep aired / or rep laced , and rein-
stalled on the vehicle as soon as possible.

Check the tire pressu re as soon as possible. Correct
pressu re as requ ired .
