Basic TPMS with EVIC — If Equipped
The TPMS uses wireless technology with wheel rim
mounted electronic sensors to monitor tire pressu re lev-
els. Sensors, mounted to each wheel as part of the valve
stem , transm it tire pressu re read ings to the Receiver
Mod ule.
The TPMS Telltale Lamp will illuminate in the instru -
ment cluster, and an audible chim e will be activated
when one or more of the four active road tire pressu res
are low. In addition, EVIC will display the nu mber of
tire(s) that are low, follow ed by the “Tire Low Pressu re”
text message. Shou ld this occur, you shou ld stop as soon
as possible, check the inflation pressu re of each tire on
you vehicle, and inflate each tire to the vehicle’s recom -
NOTE: It is particu larly important, for you to check the
tire pressu re in all of you r tires regu larly and too main-
tain the prop er pressu re.

The Basic TPMS consists of the follow ing components:

The TPMS Telltale Lamp will flash on and off for 75
second s, and rem ain on solid when a system fault is
detected . The system fault will also sou nd a chim e. In
addition, EVIC will display a “SERVICE TIRE SYSTEM
