Integrated Ign ition Key
The integrated ignition key operates the ignition switch.
It also contains the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) trans-
mitter and an emergency key, which stores in the rear of
the RKE transm itter.

The emergency key allow s for entry into the vehicle
shou ld the battery in the vehicle or the RKE transm itter
go dead . The emergency key is also for locking the lower
glove compartm ent. You can keep the emergency key
with you when valet parking.
To rem ove the emergency key from the RKE transm itter,
slide the mechanical latch at the top of the RKE transm it-

Place the shift lever in PARK. Turn the ignition key to the
LOCK position and then rem ove the key.
