UNDERSTANDING YOUR INSTRUMENT PANEL

Pan el Mode
Air is directed   throu gh the  outlets  in the  instru ment
panel.  These   outlets  can  be  adjusted   for  direction,
and  turned  on  or  off to control  airflow.
Floor  Mode
Air comes  from the  floor outlets.  A slight amount  of
air is directed  throu gh  the defrost  and  side wind ow
demister   outlets.
NOTE:    For  maxim um   airflow  to  the   rear,  the  center     Mix Mode
instru ment  panel  outlets  can  be directed  tow ard  the rear
seat  passengers.
Air comes  from  the floor,  defrost  and  side wind ow
demist   outlets.  This  mode   works   best  in  cold  or
snow y  cond itions.  It allow s  you  to  stay  comfort-
able,  while  keep ing the  wind shield  clear.

Bi-Level  Mode
Air  comes from  the  instru ment  panel  outlets,   floor
outlets  and  defrost  outlets.  A slight amount   of air is    Defrost   Mode
also  directed  throu gh  the side  wind ow  demister  outlets.
Air  comes  from the  wind shield   and  side wind  ow
demist   outlets.   Use  DEFROST  mode  with   maxi-
mum   blow er and   tem peratu re  settings   for  best  wind -
shield  and  side  wind ow defrosting.
NOTE:    In  many  tem peratu re  positions,   the  BI-LEVEL
mode  is  designed  to  provid e cooler  air  out  of the  panel
outlets  and  warm er  air from  the  floor outlets.
NOTE:   While  operating   in the  other  modes,  the system
will  not autom atically  sense  the  presence  of  fog, mist  or
ice on the wind shield . DEFROST mode  must  be manu ally
selected  to  clear the  wind shield  and  side  glass.
