The Anti-Lock Brak e System cannot preven t acci-
dents, including those resu ltin g from excessive

and skillfu l driver can preven t accid ents.
The capabilities of an ABS-eq uipped veh icle must
never be exploited in a reck less or dangerou s
manner, which could jeop ard ize the user ’s safety
or the safety of oth ers.
If the “Anti-Lock Brake Warning Light” rem ains on or
comes on while driving, it ind icates that the anti-lock
portion of the brake system is not functioning and that
service is requ ired . However, the conventional brake
system will continu e to operate norm ally if the “Brake
Warning Light” is not on.

If the “Anti-Lock Brake Warning Light” is on, the brake
system shou ld be serviced as soon as possible to restore
the benefits of anti-lock brakes. If the “Anti-Lock Brake
Warning Light” does not come on when the ignition
switch is turned to the ON position, have the bulb
rep aired as soon as possible.
All vehicle wheels and tires must be the sam e size and
typ e, and tires must be prop erly inflated to prod uce
accurate signals for the computer.
