Distribu tion (EBD). In the event of an EBD failu re, the
Brake Warning Light will turn on along with the ABS
Light. Immediate rep air to the ABS system is requ ired .
The light will rem ain on until the cause is corrected .
NOTE: The light may flash momentarily during sharp
cornering maneu vers, which change fluid level cond i-
tions. The vehicle shou ld have service perform ed, and
the brake fluid level checked .
Operation of the Brake Warning Light can be checked by
turning the ignition switch from the OFF position to the
ON position. The light shou ld illuminate for approxi-
mately two second s. The light shou ld then turn off unless

If the light does not illuminate, have the light insp ected
by an authorized dealer.
WARN ING!
The light also will turn on when the parking brake is
applied with the ignition switch in the ON position.
Drivin g a veh icle with the red brak e ligh t on is
dangerou s. Part of the brak e system may have failed .
It will tak e lon ger to stop the veh icle. You could have
an accid ent. Have the veh icle checked immediately.
NOTE: This light show s only that the parking brake is
applied. It does not show the degree of brake application.
